Is Afghanistan the grandmother of India ?!!   Let's go back to the stories of  Kauravas and Pandavas....to the story of  Indraprasta and by the way,to the story of present Delhi. The country's capital has a long past.Before the British came and before the Sultans reached,Delhi was then known as Indraprastha,the capital believed to be built by Pandavas. The king of  Hastinapura was the great Dhritarashtra. Now we go to the real story. He was blind by birth.The name of his wife is  honoured by every Indian. It is Gandhari . The mother of 101 Kauravas. The great lady who left herself blind,saying that she doesn't want any happiness that her husband hasn't. This great lady was the daughter of the king of Gandhar, which is now known as Kandhahar, a province in Afghanistan. Thus Ithihasas says that India is so and Indians are those !!
